SWEET CREATIONS: SCULPTING MAGIC WITH SUGAR KING
On July 18, 2026, Sugar King partnered with the DLSU University Student Government Office of the Executive Treasurer and DLSU COSCA to host Sweet Creations: Sculpting Magic with Sugar King, a hands‑on workshop in sugar artistry and cake decorating at Gokongwei 104–106, De La Salle University.
The workshop welcomed primarily DLSU students, along with a few staff members, for an inclusive and practical learning experience in sugar art — a niche skill often considered specialized and costly. Through engaging sessions, participants explored both technical and creative aspects of baking and decorating. Chef Christene San Pedro led a Matcha Crinkles baking demonstration and a Unicorn Cake decorating demo, showcasing techniques that combined flavor and artistry. Chef Madelane Maddagan followed with a Cute Chef Sugar Figure hands‑on session, guiding attendees through the fundamentals of gum paste sculpting and sugar figure creation.
The event emphasized accessibility, skill‑building, and creativity, giving students the opportunity to gain new knowledge, fresh ideas, and inspiration to continue exploring sugar art and cake decorating. It was a meaningful collaboration that celebrated the joy of baking while empowering the DLSU community with specialized culinary training.
