One of the highlights of Bakery World 2026, the Sugar Art Cake Display Competition 2026 brought together talented cake artists and sugar art enthusiasts for a creative celebration inspired by the vibrant Sinulog Festival. Held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino from September 10–12, 2026, the competition featured intricate cake displays that showcased the participants’ creativity, craftsmanship, and interpretation of Cebu’s rich culture and traditions.

Throughout the three-day event, the cake displays were showcased at the Sugar King Booth, giving Bakery World visitors the opportunity to see the creations up close and appreciate the artistry and detail behind each piece.

For the competition results, R-gel Abellar took First Place, followed by Jeanne Mendoza in Second Place and Mary Joy Gullas in Third Place. Alice Hallasgo received the Sugar King’s Choice Award, while Cheezels Tumulak was recognized with the Best Theme Award. Jeanne Mendoza also received the People’s Choice Award, which was determined through online voting.

The competition celebrated the creativity of cake artists while highlighting the beauty of Filipino culture and tradition through sugar art. Each entry brought a unique interpretation of the Sinulog Festival to life, making the display a memorable highlight of Bakery World 2026.
